Coming out of Withdrawal!

Hi everyone. I have been suffering from major AG withdrawal over the past week and a half! We just moved to a new city, and I was without internet access from 8/1 until last night. What made it worse was that the last time I got to visit was when all the info & photos were filtering out from the Elizabeth premiere. When we finally got the computer up & running last night, I ended up staying up till 1 a.m. catching up on everything!

DD has been having a rough time of the move, missing all her friends and everything familiar. Some of you may remember that I had bought Marisol a few months ago to save as a birthday or Xmas gift. Well, DH and I decided to give Marisol as a birthday gift (next week). We hope it will be something really special to help ease the transition.

I've decided to order a few of the new Felicity & Elizabeth outfits as Xmas gifts. DD is planning to save her money & buy Elizabeth in person when we visit AGP next summer. When is the earliest date that non-club members can place an order? If I order at the earliest date, do you think there's any danger of not getting the items I want? I'm wondering if it might be worth the $20 club membership to make sure I get everything I want to purchase.

Well, I'm not a prolific poster - - I mainly just lurk & learn from everyone else. But I think this might be my longest post ever! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Welcome back! It must be a relief to have the move over with, and to be settling into your new home. How old is your daughter? It must be hard for you, watching her struggle with missing her friends, but kids are amazingly resilient. I'm sure once school starts and she gets to make some new friends, it will be easier for her. In the meantime, I think giving her Marisol for her birthday is a great idea.

As for the club, while it costs 20.00, you get a gift certificate for 10.00 to use towards Elizabeth, a cute charm bracelet, and your daughter can earn stars for free AG stuff. You would even get bonus stars for ordering Elizabeth. You can also earn stars and then give them to your daughter as rewards. If you're buying Elizabeth anyway, I would sign her up for the club. JMO.

I know what you mean about lurking-I read and learn a lot more than I post, but it's not so scary once you get started. [img]smile.gif[/img] Welcome back.

I agree about the club. We have really gotten our money's worth and DD rarely uses the message board (friend finder.) She does love earning points and the merchadise is great.

Hope you all settle in quickly. Marisol will certainly understand how DD is feeling about the move. Hope she has a Happy Birthday.

Welcome back Jenn - glad to hear you've arrived safely at your new home and are slowly settling in and I hope your DD will soon settle in too. As everybody else said, once school starts again she will be able to make new friends and then it will get easier for her.

Kamilla absolutely loves the Club and her favorite part is collecting the stars to get the special club merchandise, all the nice games and also the mail feature.

I agree, the club is really a fun place for the girls. My DD will be 9 on the 29th, and has loved the club and all of the cool merchandise for club members that she has earned.

I am sure your DD will feel much better when school starts. Moving is always hard, but getting to meet new people and see new things is really fun. She will be back to her old self in no time!

As far as I know, the only things Club members can purchase right now are the Elizabeth doll and her accessories. The other items have not been released yet.
